Our Deepest Fear
I forgot how I learned about this poem but I love the sentiment behind it. I hope you like it as well. The poem is titled "Our Deepest Fear" by Marian Williamson.
Our Deepest Fear
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually who are we not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Love
Sorry, This is a day late but Happy Valentine's Day. Most people think that Valentine's Day is a time for couples. I think that it is to celebrate all the love we have around us. God has given us so much love in our lives we need to take time and remember that love. February is heart month. As you think about your heart this month, remember your loved ones. God is love (1 John 4:8)

Thanks
Hey, everyone.
I wanted to take this time to say thank you to a couple of special people. The first is Joyce,
who works with me and my mom every week with children's church. The second is Laura,
who does the same. The reason I like to brag so much on these women is because Joyce is the mother to one of the children which means she and her child are always together. Laura is in her early 20s works full time yet every Sunday she works with kids (ages 3-14). How many young 20s do you know that would do that? I also have to note that Laura is my glue gun queen.
You're awesome for always getting me out of a jam.
To these two women, a special thanks. We notice all that you do.
My aunt Charlotte is also downstairs with us when she isn't working. We could never forget her.

Out/About & Thinking
The snow has finally melted so no more captivity!
The one thing about staying inside so much is that your brain wonders from subject to subject. You can only read and watch so much TV. I began to remember a conversation I had at the Mark Lowry show. I mentioned that as a child, Mom read a story and sang to me every night to me before I went to bed. She sometimes would read me a Bible story and song. On other nights, she would read Mother Goose et al. I commented that now I can remember just about all the songs in our hymnal. A man standing by remarked that he had never thought of doing that with his child. I was reminded of Proverbs 22:6- Train up a child in the way it should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it. We teach children manners and how to act in restaurants from the earliest ages. Why do we not think to teach children scripture and hymns at that same time. I have been very lucky that my entire family attended church. If you want to teach kids the correct path to take teach them earlier!
