Mr. Wingfield was the minister of First Christian Church of Newport for several years. My mother,Lois, remembers babysitting the children. Mr. Wingfield was once asked why he had so many children. He replied that you couldn't have too many good people in this world and he intended to raise his family to be just that. Mr. Wingfield leaves quite a legacy of good people behind. We know his family is grieving this beloved family man. They are in our thoughts and prayers.
